Who we are...
Calvary Chapel Norwich started as a Friday night Bible study in the lounge of John & Sarah Brown. It was 31 December 2004 and the six people in attendance started a verse by verse study through the book of Genesis.
Since that time the LORD has added people from a wide variety of church backgrounds (& some with no church background) all with the simple desire to know the God of the Bible. We are a mixed lot of young and old; new believers and seasoned saints; families and single people from all walks of life and yet we consider ourselves a family of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Our greatest desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of His Holy Spirit. We are blessed to be affiliated with the Calvary Chapel Movement* but we are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations. We are simply part of the body of Christ with a specific call of ministry. God is calling us to be a group of people stay focused on the same priorities as the early church as recorded in Acts 2:42; "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and prayers."
